Ducks

Assisted Migration

Of course we had to bring our flock of ducks with us to Illinois. As you can probably imagine, this was a bit of a process. We opted to wait until they settled into their coop for the night before wheeling them into an enclosed UHaul trailer.

Surprisingly, after 14 hours in on the highway, the ducks were totally fine. It did take them a few minutes to get comfortable enough to come out and eat something, but they quickly settled into their new temporary home.

This way our feathered friends have had a front row seat this summer, watching as we build our tiny house. Now that we are wrapping up the project and looking for a place to park our new home and start doing some serious gardening again, we will be keeping the blog updated into the winter as we prepare for the 2017 growing season!
